![]() I may sometime tomorrow, set my S6 edge back to swipe and turn unlock to none and see if it happens on the S6 Edge like on the S6. When I exchanged that S6 for the S6 Edge, I never set the unlock effect to none on it, I just immediately setup fingerprint login and I always get bright pics on lockscreen when I use my own pics. So I put it back to one of the 2 choices, and then set fingerprint and now I get the bright display and still get to the home screen fast, don't have to wait for the swipe animation now. Well that fixed the problem, and when I got home I wanted to go back to being able to swipe and have it immediately get to the home screen, so I set the effect to none, and once I did, the dark screen came back. I hope the other poster who commented on this read your reply.Well I had went back to Verizon store and at first the person there was going to do a data factory restore on it, but instead decided to try the reset settings option instead. I think I could have screwed with this forever and never, ever found that fix. ![]() Man, that is one weird glitch that Samsung designed in these phones. You’ll see an option for Dark Theme under General. ![]() Just out of curiosity could I ask you how you figured this out? I only ask because I'm assuming someone had to tell you as it's not the kind of thing that makes any inherent sense. On the mobile apps: Tap the hamburger menu to the side of the screen on the left and then choose Settings.
